Heavy D Found Dead at Age 44

They say bad things happen in 3's the week started with the passing of Andy Rooney, Monday Night it was announced that boxer Joe Frazier died, and this afternoon right before 1pm MST Heavy D was found outside of his Beverly Hills condo having complications with breathing but still conscious and speaking. However, shortly after arriving at a nearby hospital he died he was on 44 years old. The cause of death is yet unknown, though doctors are saying that was medically related. Born Dwight Arrington Meyers, Heavy D & The Boyz are known for such late 80's/ early 90's jams such as "Somebody For Me" "Is it Good to You" "Nuttin But Love" and of course his biggest Top 40 hit "Now That We've Found Love". Heavy and The Boyz also did the theme song for the popular sketch comedy show "In Living Color" Throughout most of the mid to late 90's Heavy did features on various artists records, even did some acting in a few films, he most noteably had a small role in 1999's "Life" with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. Recently he had a energetic performance on the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards last month. Heavy D will be missed by the Hip Hop and R&B community, many artists including one of his best friends P. Diddy have commented on the loss.
