"Skins" Ain't Goin No Where...at least not yet! Booker | Nights 6p-11p
01/27/2011 | Filed In: Skins | MTV | Reality Shows | Jersey Shore

Ok so i'll admit I haven't watched this show yet, although it looks very interesting, just haven't had a chance to catch it yet. As MTV gets more and more away from being actually Music Television, they've adopted another complelling edgy reality series with "Skins" The original British teen drama has been airing on the BBC network for the last couple years, and now we have the U.S version of it on MTV. Since it's premiere last Monday 1/17 the critics are talking, positive and more negative. Seems there's been a ton of complaints from Parents, even sponsors threatening to pull their advertising. However, MTV execs say they will NOT be pulling the show although rumors are circling that it would be canceled going into it's 3rd week. From the looks of the previews it looks like a Teen version of Jersey Shore apparently with more sex and more serious issues other then 2 girls fighting over a letter like on JS. So if you are a fan of the show "Skins" plan on it being on again this coming Monday but only time will tell if MTV absolutely has to pull the show.

Does the Super Bowl seem to suck this year? Poetik C | Mornings 6A - 10A

Does the Super Bowl seem to suck this year?

Is it me or do a bunch of you not too excited for this years Super Bowl?.. or should I say Super BLOW. I mean, I would of prefered to see the Jets vs the Bears. I know a lot of you are like.. "Poetik, you're a Raiders fan, no wonder why your upset." LOL

But I really could careless about those teams. In all honesty, I'll probably be more intrested with having a few drinks and socializing with my friends. I mean I can't even route for the team that plays the disliked steelers.. Because ... well... It's Green Bay LOL

Well I hope everyone else enjoys the Super Bowl... and at least it's not the Cowboys playing in it. Hahahaa

Peace

More Fried Chicken... Georgio | Promotions

More Fried Chicken...

Public Enemy hypeman Flavor Flav's first restaurant in a chain that will be opening in 2011 is scheduled to open in Clinton, Iowa.

The 51-year-old rapper's first restaurant, named Flav's Fried Chicken, will open on Monday (January 24th) according to Nick Cimino, who is working with Flavor Flav to open the new chicken spot.

Flavor Flav, born William Drayton Jr., announced the opening of his chicken restaurant in November, along with several other businesses, including a line of liquor named Le Flav Spirits.

“I'm also launching FFC – ya'll heard of KFC right? – well this is FFC, Flav's Fried Chicken," Flav tweeted last month. "The Colonel better watch his back, G! The Colonel might end up in my fryer."

The above article was from AllHipHop.com

It seems like if your a successful rapper you either get your own brand of alcohol or open a resturant, Flav is managing to do both. When is Utah gonna get some of that FFC? Probably as soon as we get Popeye's off the military base...like that's going to happen.

Lawsuit Against Dr.Dre Alesha | Promotions

Lawsuit Against Dr.Dre

Let me just say that this is ridiculous. I attended this concert in Auburn Hills and the video footage was not anything disturbing or different than something you would see on television, yet this has spiriled into some huge lawsuit. Get over it Detroit!!! Much worse things have happened especially in the D!!!

A Detroit councilman continues to pursue a lawsuit against Dr. Dre, stemming from a controversial concert in 2000 in Detroit, where a confrontation with police was captured on film and used in a hit DVD.

The Supreme Court of Michigan will hear oral arguments from both lawyers today, in regards to the lawsuit, which was originally filed in 2000, shortly after the release of the Up In Smoke DVD.

Councilman Gary Brown was a police official working the backstage area of the "Up in Smoke Tour" when a meeting was taped backstage at the Joe Louis Arena between officials and producers of the show.

The tour ran into difficulties in Detroit and Auburn Hills, over the showing of a sexually explicit video that also included a shootout.

Brown's conversation was included as a bonus track on the Up In Smoke DVD titled "Detroit Controversy" which caused him and officers Paula Bridges and Greg Bowers to file a $ 3 billion dollar lawsuit against Dr. Dre, which has been dismissed three times by lower courts.

Dr. Dre also sued the cities of Detroit and Auburn in 2007 and was awarded $25,000 and apologies from both cities.

In related news, Dr. Dre has denied reports that his highly anticipated album Detox was due in stores on April 20th.
