Rapper and artist Tavie Mason aka Concise Kilgore from Salt Lake City, Utah began his music career in 1999 in a group called Status Quo (Bahamadia and Concise Kilgore). In 2000, he went the solo route and released multiple 12-inch singles, E.P.(Digitalis) and guest spots on Cali Agents(Fire&Ice) Prince Po(Pretty Black) and toured Europe with the Cali Agents(Rasco&Planet Asia), Dilated Peoples, Souls Of Mischief, Pharcyde, Aceyalone, ED O.G.
Concise has opened for legendary hip-hop artists like The Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, Slick Rick, Run D.M.C., Kendrick Lamar, Juicy J, Action Bronson, Hopsin, Freeway, Freddie Gibbs, Asap Ferg, Dizzy Wright, and Raekwon.
In November 2012, he released his debut album "Kobain" on Soulspazm records with guest appearance's by Strong Arm Steady, Fashawn, Cali Agents, Brand Nubian, Termanology, Torae, Adverse, Action Bronson, Evidence, Guilty Simpson, and DJ Revolution with production by The Ghosts, DJ Babu, OhNo, Statik Selektah. Kobain reached the no.1 spot on Record Breakers Chart (9/10/2012) for rap singles and also was in medium rotation on Eminem's Shade 45. The second single "Pop Music" featuring Statik Selektah also had a equal buzz. The Album made Carbon Rose Magazine editors pick for best albums of 2012. Since then, Concise has released a steady flow of projects, like his weekly Kil Wave Series and the most recent "Fice Lords" mixtape that shows his full range, covering genres like chill wave, footwork, trap, and hardcore hip-hop!!!
