Hip Hop Is Giving Back

Share this with friends:

Tomorrow (September 17th), Washington D.C. rapper Wale will team up with Atlanta's Roscoe Dash and Fayetteville, North Carolina rapper J. Cole for their "School of Rock" initiative.  The three rappers will visit local schools to mentor children, to increase interest in academics, healthy living, giving back to the community and the musical arts.

It doesn't stop there, Wale, Roscoe Dash, and J. Cole flex their celebrity muscle by holding assemblies with celebrities such as rappers Bun B., Jim Jones, Curren$y, Chrisette Michele, Dondria, comedian Lil Duval, the NBA's Kevin Durant, John Wall, James Harden, Ty Lawson, and the Washington Redskins' DeAngelo Hall.

A Celebrity Bowling Tournament will be held, which will benefit Washington DC schools. This is a genius idea! Kids idolize rappers, and what better way to get the message across than to actually deliver it yourself.

Be sure to donate to Kicks For Kidz when you see U92 out on the streets. The proceeds will benefit Utah kids and the Boys and Girls Club of South Valley.  Spread that good Karma.
