
Hip-Hop star Lil Wayne has been hit with a new, $5.6 million tax bill.
The IRS filed the tax lien against the rapper on Monday (March 28th) in Miami, claiming he owes income taxes on revenues earned from 2008-2009.
The rapper owes $3,335,077.95 for the year 2008 and another $2,258,956.04 on revenues earned in 2009.
According to The Detroit News, Lil Wayne is currently attempting to sell his 15,101,-square-foot mansion on a private Miami Beach island for $12,900,000.
Cash Money Records' CEO Ronald "Slim" Williams recently updated AllHipHop.com about the status of Lil Wayne's highly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV.
According to reports, the album will feature guest production by Detail, Swizz Beatz, Boi-1da and T-Minus, while guests like Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Drake have been tapped to make guest appearances.
"It's great man, he ain't lost a beat," Slim Williams told AllHipHop.com. "Wayne is gonna be Wayne. He does this and that's that gift from God. He's a very smart guy. He know what he has to do."
Lil Wayne recently debuted "6 Foot 7 Foot," the first video from Tha Carter IV, which has no release date.

Earlier this week T.I who just got out of prison 6 months ago was sent back to the big house to serve an 11 month sentence for breaking his probation and getting caught with drugs last month. Well today Lil Wayne was officially released from a New York City Jail at around 8:30 this morning. Weezy served 8 months for a gun charge he caught back in 2007. Rumors had been circling that his release would be delayed be a day or so. However, he is a free man as well as currently having the number one album in the country with "I am Not A Human Being" which was released on his birthday 9/27.
Everyone wanted to know what's the first thing Wayne was gonna do now that he's out, other than going to see family, Some assumed he would head right back into a recording studio. But according to Young Money Records' president Mack Maine, Lil Wayne will head to Miami instead for a "welcome home" party at a strip club.....Get it in Weezy, Get it in! lol
Another prison guard at Rikers Island has been disciplined for making an unauthorized visit to see superstar rapper Lil Wayne, who is finishing a one year sentence for having a handgun on his tour bus in 2007.
According to the New York Daily News, Captain Raphael Collazzo was suspended without pay for 10 days for visiting the rapper for over 45 minutes, while he was in his isolation cell for having headphones and a charger for an MP3 player.
Capt. Collazzo, a 20-year-veteran, is not expected to be disciplined any further. He also denied breaking any rules during the unexplained visit.
He is at least the third guard at Rikers Island to get into trouble for visiting with Lil Wayne.
In April of 2010, Amelia Negron was fired for allegedly making an impromptu visit to the rapper's cell.
In September, Captain LaTanya Brown was accused of visiting the rapper, in addition to giving him preferential treatment by letting him stay in his cell while other inmates were on the recreation yard.
Lil Wayne is expected to be released from prison next week.
