As DJ Khaled begins the promo for an upcoming album titled “I Changed A Lot” fans start seeing a lot more of him on the blogs. Khaled recently spoke with The Breakfast Club about the album and the singles he is working on. Khaled includes Remy Ma, and many more.
Although nothing is finalized, Khaled announced his plans to sign Remy Ma to his “We The Best” imprint. Remy Ma’s interest for Khaled seems to be the same, Khaled said that Remy went straight to him when she was released and laid down her first verse for him.
“She came by the studio with some fly boots on and her hair did, chains. Like she ain’t never left…” said DJ Khaled. “Obviously, the [first] thing I was talking about is like ‘Yo, I want you to be on We The Best.’ Absolutely. I’m not hiding it. It ain’t no secret. I’m on my job to try to sign her. It ain’t been done. I’m trying… I’m sure she’s weighing out her options and stuff.”
What do you think about this? Should Remy go ahead and sign with DJ Khaled? Or do you think she has better options?
ScHoolboy Q and Footaction’s “Own The Summer” campaign has given fans an opportunity to be immortalized in a new visual for his hit single, “Man of the Year,” by one Vine submission at a time.
“A lot of people liked it,” ScHoolboy said as he talked about the initial fun-filled video for his Oxymoron single; “some people wanted to be a part of it, because it was a fun video,” he continued.
With only a week left for Vine and Instagram submissions, ScHoolboy Q chooses his favorite ones and informs fans to tune-in mid-August to see if they made it into the final mix video of his hit song ‘Man of the Year’.
What do you think about the campaign? Is it a good idea for him to involve his fans? Also, if you want the opportunity to be starred in the latest video, make sure that you hashtag your videos and photos with #OwnTheSummer.
As the Spurs named Becky Hammon as an assistant coach on August 5th, 2014; she earns the opportunity to be the first female with a “real coaching” role in NBA history.
NBA fans claim that hiring Hammon could be catastrophic, but Gregg Popovich (head coach for the Spurs) claims that he had no interest in hiring her to make history.
“Pop told me, early on, ‘As cool as it would be to hire you, you have to be qualified, and I have to make sure you’re qualified,’” Hammon said. “It could be catastrophic if I wasn’t qualified, and then it sets the whole thing back.”
In spite of all the efforts Popovich has made to make hiring Hammon seem normal, there is no way around how significant the opportunity is for her.
“Obviously, the (historic first) is great, and it’s a tremendous honor, but I think the bigger point is I’m getting hired because I am capable, because of my basketball IQ and stuff that they’ve seen in me personally.” added Hammon.
With 16 seasons in the WNBA, Hammon is in the final season of her WNBA career. The last eight seasons were spent in San Antonio, where she has had the opportunity to be around Popovich and the Spurs.
“I know I’m just thrilled for the opportunity to coach these unbelievable athletes and, from what I’ve known, unbelievable people,” stated Hammon.
What do you think about this opportunity? Will Hammon be able to excel in the job she was hired for? Or should the NBA stick to male coaches? What is your opinion?
As Nicki Minaj continues to advance to the top of the music charts worldwide, Lil Kim refuses to let the artist move on and continues the (one-sided) beef with Nicki.
Is it possible that Nicki stole Kim’s steez?
Kim claims that motherhood is not going to slow her down, although; recently releasing a new remix of ‘Flawless’ where she goes IN on Nicki Minaj wasn’t enough.
It looks like Lil Kim is back with a new diss song named ‘Identity Theft,’ it’s clear that it’s intended directly towards the Queen of Barbz, Kim also featured Nicki on the art work claiming she stole her identity.
What do you think? Is it time Nicki responds to Kim or nah?
As you heard last week, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj have joined forces and dropped a surprise remix of “Flawless” Sunday morning around one a.m. This new single has left the rap blogosphere and twitter completely blown away. What stood out the most to fans is Beyoncé’s verse, “Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” giving an ending to the infamous elevator tussle between Jay Z and Solange. Then Nicki comes in reminding the world that she herself is hip-hop’s Queen Bee, she recalls the fire that she spat at the end of Kanye’s “Monster” dropped four years ago; and she declares herself as “the queen of rap, slaying with Queen Bey.”
Nicki also dropped her new single Monday morning “Anaconda,” bringing back “Baby Got Back,” dropped in ’92 by Sir Mix-A-Lot. The new single is already trending on Twitter with the hashtag, #AnacondaOnITunes. Early Monday morning the song was No. 4 on iTunes and NO. 1 Hip Hop/Rap. What do you think about both mixes? Is it possible that Nicki has taken over the Hip Hop world?
