As Nicki Minaj continues to advance to the top of the music charts worldwide, Lil Kim refuses to let the artist move on and continues the (one-sided) beef with Nicki.
Is it possible that Nicki stole Kim’s steez?
Kim claims that motherhood is not going to slow her down, although; recently releasing a new remix of ‘Flawless’ where she goes IN on Nicki Minaj wasn’t enough.
It looks like Lil Kim is back with a new diss song named ‘Identity Theft,’ it’s clear that it’s intended directly towards the Queen of Barbz, Kim also featured Nicki on the art work claiming she stole her identity.
What do you think? Is it time Nicki responds to Kim or nah?
As you heard last week, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj have joined forces and dropped a surprise remix of “Flawless” Sunday morning around one a.m. This new single has left the rap blogosphere and twitter completely blown away. What stood out the most to fans is Beyoncé’s verse, “Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” giving an ending to the infamous elevator tussle between Jay Z and Solange. Then Nicki comes in reminding the world that she herself is hip-hop’s Queen Bee, she recalls the fire that she spat at the end of Kanye’s “Monster” dropped four years ago; and she declares herself as “the queen of rap, slaying with Queen Bey.”
Nicki also dropped her new single Monday morning “Anaconda,” bringing back “Baby Got Back,” dropped in ’92 by Sir Mix-A-Lot. The new single is already trending on Twitter with the hashtag, #AnacondaOnITunes. Early Monday morning the song was No. 4 on iTunes and NO. 1 Hip Hop/Rap. What do you think about both mixes? Is it possible that Nicki has taken over the Hip Hop world?
After spending six years in prison, Remy Ma was released on August 1st, and she is back to get revenge. Remy already released her first song: “They Don’t Love You No More (Remix).” Originally a DJ Khaled track that featured Jay Z and Meek Mill.
As rumors began, it was said that Remy was dissing Nicki Minaj in her verse, “I listened to your CD/ Damn, you really wanna be me/ Don’t care if your name buzzin’, you know who the queen be.”
Even with all of the talk, Remy cleared things up in an interview with Funkmaster Flex, she precisely gave love to a lot of women who are in the rap game today, this included Nicki and even Iggy Azalea.
“It’d be dope if we could get a ill chick record,” Remy said. “Me, maybe Iggy Azalea, Nicki, just do a nice little collabo.”
Remy still hasn’t signed with anyone, she isn’t sure where she wants to sign.
“I just know I have so many great songs that I think the world needs to hear. I’m excited. I’m extremely happy. I’m blessed. God gave me another chance to do what I love to do.” She added.
What do you think? Will Remy Ma make it back to the top? Or did she ever leave?
The slow-tempo track, produced by Jim Jonsin; confesses Wiz Khalifa attraction towards his lover and his desire to get “caught in the moment.”
“Promises” instantly hit NO. 1 on the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chard on Monday morning. The single remained number one for two hours then dropped to the NO. 3 position.
Wiz also added, that he had some help from Rico Love to write the record. Khalifa also added, “the video’s amazing, it’s real dope, it’s got a good look,” so keep your eyes open for that as well.
What are your thoughts on it? Will Wiz be able to keep the new single in the top five?
Making fun of people on social media may be entertaining. People tend to post things to get the audience’s attention and they do it for likes rather than care about what someone might think or if someone may be affected by these posts, in this case, Waka Flocka Flame, Trey Burke and Shaquile O’Neal; were just a few of a handful of celebrities that were named in a lawsuit filed by 23-year-old Jahmel Binion.
A couple of months ago, these celebrities all posted and made fun of a photo of Binion, who suffers from hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia –which is a disease that causes missing teeth and facial deformities—on Instagram and Twitter.
According to Malcom Daily, the lawsuit states that, “The defendants’ communications clearly implied that the plaintiff was an appropriate object of mockery, ridicule and shame [and] had the effect of lowering the plaintiff’s reputation in the eyes of those who respected the views and opinion of the defendants.”
The sarcasm began when Shaq posted a side-by-side photo of himself and Binion (who was toothless) with a caption that said, “Smile today.” Shortly after, Waka Flocka and Burke posted pictures of their own.
Shortly after the photos were posted all three of them reached out to Binion and apologized for their actions. Later on, Binion revealed to the Macomb Daily that he felt the apologies weren’t sincere.
“When they said sorry, I felt like they were saying it to get the pressure off of them for being considered ‘bad people,’” stated Binion. “Even though I accept their apology, I still hope that they donate to my cause or other organizations that connect with ectodermal dysplasia.”
Binion is supposedly suing for insult, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and finally, general negligence.
What is your opinion? Do you believe that the apologies were sincere or that they were just a way to release the pressure from the celebrities?
