Eminem's Recovery album goes 4X platinum! Poetik C | Mornings 6A - 10A

According to Allhiphop.com: 2011′s Grammy Award-winning album by Eminem, Recovery, was officially certified 4x platinum yesterday (February 2).

Recovery exploded on the charts in June of 2010 when it sold over 750,000 copies in its first week. The album includes such hits as “Not Afraid,” the Rihanna-assisted “Love The Way You Lie,” and “No Love” which featured Lil Wayne.

Eminem is currently helping to put some finishing touches on the upcoming Slaughterhouse album, which is scheduled for release this May, as well as his own currently untitled ninth studio album.

Beats By Dr Dre ending it's ties with Monster Cable. Poetik C | Mornings 6A - 10A

After taking the headphone market by storm for the past few years, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's Beats have decided to end it's buisness relationship with Monster Cable.

The announcement was made at this years electronics convention, CES.

According to Iovine, ”Beats will act as its own manufacturer going forward,”. Iovine added, ”We are purely on a mission to fix audio for every record company for every artist around the world. We have to turn this thing around and we’re starting to."

From computers, smart phones and now car audio, Beats By Dr Dre has unlimited potential from it's early begins with crafting headphones.

Rapper Plies found civilly liable for a 2006 shooting Poetik C | Mornings 6A - 10A

The rapper has been ordered to pay $200,000 to a group of men who were injured during the shooting, which occurred in July of 2006 in a Gainesville, Florida nightclub.

After an eight day trial, a jury deliberated for eight hours and ruled against Plies and his brother.

According to Allhiphop.com Plies was sentenced to probation over the shooting, while his brother was sent to prison for three years over the incident.

Rapper Plies faces a $10,000,000 lawsuit involving a nightclub shooting in July of 2006.

According to Allhiphop.com, the lawsuit, which five of the plaintiffs were injured during the shooting, occurred at West Nightclub in Gainesville, Florida.

Plies' defense attorney, Robert A. Rush said, “The plaintiffs’ claims against my client continue to be without merit, we look forward to having this resolved in a court of justice,”
