Earlier this week T.I who just got out of prison 6 months ago was sent back to the big house to serve an 11 month sentence for breaking his probation and getting caught with drugs last month. Well today Lil Wayne was officially released from a New York City Jail at around 8:30 this morning. Weezy served 8 months for a gun charge he caught back in 2007. Rumors had been circling that his release would be delayed be a day or so. However, he is a free man as well as currently having the number one album in the country with "I am Not A Human Being" which was released on his birthday 9/27.
Everyone wanted to know what's the first thing Wayne was gonna do now that he's out, other than going to see family, Some assumed he would head right back into a recording studio. But according to Young Money Records' president Mack Maine, Lil Wayne will head to Miami instead for a "welcome home" party at a strip club.....Get it in Weezy, Get it in! lol
Another prison guard at Rikers Island has been disciplined for making an unauthorized visit to see superstar rapper Lil Wayne, who is finishing a one year sentence for having a handgun on his tour bus in 2007.
According to the New York Daily News, Captain Raphael Collazzo was suspended without pay for 10 days for visiting the rapper for over 45 minutes, while he was in his isolation cell for having headphones and a charger for an MP3 player.
Capt. Collazzo, a 20-year-veteran, is not expected to be disciplined any further. He also denied breaking any rules during the unexplained visit.
He is at least the third guard at Rikers Island to get into trouble for visiting with Lil Wayne.
In April of 2010, Amelia Negron was fired for allegedly making an impromptu visit to the rapper's cell.
In September, Captain LaTanya Brown was accused of visiting the rapper, in addition to giving him preferential treatment by letting him stay in his cell while other inmates were on the recreation yard.
Lil Wayne is expected to be released from prison next week.
Last Friday 10/15 B.E.T revealed their Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century list....B.E.T long time host Big Tigger presided over a room full of artists, producers, and DJ's as they complied this arguable list of the Top 10 Hip Hop superstars, the qualifications were they're first album had to have dropped no earlier than 1999, what type of cultural impact the artist has had, relevance, and of course what kind of numbers are they pulling in sales (CD's or Downloads) I will admit I wasn't happy with the bottom half of this list, I can agree with the Top 5, however here it is....
1. Eminem
2. Lil Wayne
3. Kanye West
4. 50 Cent
5. T.I
6. Ludacris
7. Drake
8.Young Jeezy
9. Jadakiss
10. Rick Ross
**Honorable Mentions, but did not make the list were**
Nelly
The Game
Eve
Fabolous
and Gucci Mane
Watching this you could tell things were starting to get heated in the room as this list was coming together, I defintely feel Nelly was robbed, also thought there should've been at least one female on the list

Many of our favorite Hip Hop superstars have been incarcerated, 2Pac, T.I, Gucci Mane, Lil Kim, even Slick Rick, but none of them have been as active from Prison as Lil Wayne. Weezy has been locked up since March of this year and in the meantime has released several Music Videos, and has managed to somehow drop a new album today 9/27. "I Am not A Human Being" this release is not only significant because of Wayne's absence from the free public, but today is his 28th birthday and the album is ONLY available now on I Tunes.
