The slow-tempo track, produced by Jim Jonsin; confesses Wiz Khalifa attraction towards his lover and his desire to get “caught in the moment.”
“Promises” instantly hit NO. 1 on the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chard on Monday morning. The single remained number one for two hours then dropped to the NO. 3 position.
Wiz also added, that he had some help from Rico Love to write the record. Khalifa also added, “the video’s amazing, it’s real dope, it’s got a good look,” so keep your eyes open for that as well.
What are your thoughts on it? Will Wiz be able to keep the new single in the top five?
Making fun of people on social media may be entertaining. People tend to post things to get the audience’s attention and they do it for likes rather than care about what someone might think or if someone may be affected by these posts, in this case, Waka Flocka Flame, Trey Burke and Shaquile O’Neal; were just a few of a handful of celebrities that were named in a lawsuit filed by 23-year-old Jahmel Binion.
A couple of months ago, these celebrities all posted and made fun of a photo of Binion, who suffers from hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia –which is a disease that causes missing teeth and facial deformities—on Instagram and Twitter.
According to Malcom Daily, the lawsuit states that, “The defendants’ communications clearly implied that the plaintiff was an appropriate object of mockery, ridicule and shame [and] had the effect of lowering the plaintiff’s reputation in the eyes of those who respected the views and opinion of the defendants.”
The sarcasm began when Shaq posted a side-by-side photo of himself and Binion (who was toothless) with a caption that said, “Smile today.” Shortly after, Waka Flocka and Burke posted pictures of their own.
Shortly after the photos were posted all three of them reached out to Binion and apologized for their actions. Later on, Binion revealed to the Macomb Daily that he felt the apologies weren’t sincere.
“When they said sorry, I felt like they were saying it to get the pressure off of them for being considered ‘bad people,’” stated Binion. “Even though I accept their apology, I still hope that they donate to my cause or other organizations that connect with ectodermal dysplasia.”
Binion is supposedly suing for insult, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and finally, general negligence.
What is your opinion? Do you believe that the apologies were sincere or that they were just a way to release the pressure from the celebrities?
Regardless of how fans may feel about Gordon Hayward, his numbers demonstrate that he deserves to be a man in demand when it comes to the NBA.
As Hayward goes through many changes throughout the summer, such as getting married, making it on the USA National Team and finally, having the Jazz match an offer he received from the Charlotte Hornets; despite of having the opportunity to play for multiple teams; Hayward has decided to stay in Utah.
He is a multidimensional player who has averaged 16.2 points a game, while grabbing 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds. He is a player that has a great opportunity to make the USA’s team roster this summer, this means that he has the opportunity to become a candidate for the Olympic roster in 2016.
Fans on the other hand, have been questioning whether Hayward is worth the money. With him not being a featured scorer last year, fans were blaming the offensive inefficiency oh him. Nonetheless, Jazz fans should be thankful Hayward is still with the team.
“Everybody around the team knows the tradition, so there’s a legacy to uphold,” stated Hayward. “I take a lot of pride in that every time I put on the jersey. You’ve got to take pride in your organization and your franchise. Utah is definitely one that is easy to take pride in.”
What do you think? Is Hayward being over paid to return to the Jazz? Or are you willing to give him a second opportunity to grow as a player?
After an unexpected roadblock yesterday, New York’s rapstress, Remy Ma remained behind bars for an extra day in the focus of a highly anticipated release. As of today, she is now a free woman.
Although the details behind the “disciplinary action” that led to the delay remain unclear, Miss Info exclusively reported that Remy was actually released from prison earlier this afternoon.
In May 2008, Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison. She was charged for shooting an associate, Makeda Barnes-Joseph. At the time, she spoke to the judge saying, “I am not a thug, I am not a hard-core anything, I have feelings. I am a wife, mother, daughter, big sister.”
In July, 2012 Remy gave a statement about being released from prison.
“Been almost five years that I’ve been gone. People had a lot of time to chill. It’s almost over. I’m gonna be back like I never left,” she stated.
Now that Remy is out, do you think that she will take over the rap world? What is your opinion on the matter? Will she be able to bounce back as if she never left?
As heard in the past, Kanye West refers to himself as a creative genius. According to GQ magazine, West’s album; My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy -released in 2010- was named the best album of the 21st century. In the article, this is rationalized by the impact that the project has had; it also explains how powerful all of West’s projects have been.
“It could’ve been any one of the seven albums West released this century,” GQ says. “A portrait of a man seizing the spotlight, drowning in it, and then somehow finding a way to turn that harrowing experience into art. Anybody who wants to be famous or make music for a living—or do both at the same time—should be forced to listen to MBDTF first. The rest of us are free to enjoy it for the bloody, hard-won, titanic achievement that it is.”
In 2010, the album was reviewed by HipHopDX’s Editor-In-Chief at the time, Jake Paine; where it earned a 4.5 out of a 5.
“From nine-minute douchebag manifestos, to enlisting an A-list Grammy ensemble to piece-mealing his album out to the masses every Friday. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy defies logic and it ignores convention. Whether it’s acknowledging his mistakes, measuring his might, or fantasizing of wifing Kristina Rose, Kanye West finds a way to relate to all. He’s not forcing his hand, just reminding us that the biggest star we appointed in the last five years can still recognize our own fantasies, insecurities and desire for colorful music from his spaceship,” Paine wrote.
What is your opinion? Do you believe that My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy deserves the tittle of best album?
