At this point I think we've all given up on "Detox" ever being released, but that doesn't mean Dr. Dre isn't keeping busy. According to Variety magazine The good doctor has signed on to produce the horror film "Thaw". Set over in the Yukon, this flick is about an ancient evil spirit that's unleashed as ice thaws....ummmm, okay!!! The script is currently being written and will be distributed by New Line Cinema (the same company that distributed classics like "Friday" "House Party" and a grip of others) Maybe Dre is following in the footsteps of fellow N.W.A member Ice Cube going the movie route, who knows but it would be nice for Detox to see the light of day before we all get to old to care! lol
