Emmett Till Family Spokesperson Says Lil Wayne's Apology "Falls Short" Meera | Mid Days

Yesterday morning (May 1), Weezy wrote a letter, apologizing to the family of Civil Rights figure Emmett Till for his lyrics. On Future's "Karate Chop (Remix)," Wayne rapped that he "beat the p**** up like Emmett Till," referring to the 1955 beating and subsequent murder of a Mississippi teenager for allegedly flirting with a White woman. Today a spokesperson for the family came out with an official statement and said that it was not much of an apology at all. Awwwwkward! Apology: DENIED.  What do you guys think should they accept an apology?  Especially after it being so late?!

The TLC reunion at July's VH1-presented Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania is just the beginning. The 1990s hip-pop icons have big plans to honor of their 20-plus years in the business.TLC will not only take the stage for the festival, but they will also release a new album and executive produce a VH1 made-for-TV movie slated to air in the fall. The best and to some the worst part about the tour is that they will be creating a hologram of in honor Left Eye ( think tupac hologram at Coachella) Too creepy or awesome? What do you think?

Ice cube spoke on the new N.W.A documentary being released late this summer. Here is what he had to say:

"That other [N.W.A.-related film] that you heard about was b******. This is the official one. We're taking it to the nooks and crannies, I think deeper than any other article or documentary on the group. These are the intimate conversations that helped forge N.W.A. To me I think its interesting to anybody who loves that era and I don't know any other movie where you can mix Gangster Rap, the FBI, L.A. riots, HIV, and ***** feuding with each other. This movie has everything from Darryl Gates and the battering ram!" - Ice Cube.

In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Wiz let out that Taylor Gang signee Juicy J's album will be featuring that sexy mofo Justin Timberlake. “He's got songs with Justin Timberlake, Its a real hood album" Pop + Hood = could equal dopeness or disaster we'll have to see how ratchet Juicy J keeps it! With Wiz helping produce it I'm sure it can't be a flop though!
